Daffodil International University has set a new example for society and the well-being of its students. Once, this lake was polluted, foul-smelling, and a serious health hazard. Filled with industrial waste, its stagnant waters spread a strong odor, making daily movement difficult for both students and local residents.
Taking responsibility seriously, Daffodil University stepped forward. The initiative was not just about cleaning, but about restoring the relationship between humans and nature. Various steps were implemented in phases—installing biofilters, removing sludge, correcting water flow, reintroducing aquatic plants and animals, along with laying pipes, using equipment, enhancing the beauty of the lake’s surroundings, and actively involving the local community.
The results have been remarkable. Today, the lake is a symbol of peace, beauty, and vitality. Students come here to relax, study, or socialize, while local residents also enjoy a clean and healthy environment. The foul odor and mosquito infestation are gone, making the lake one of the most attractive features of Daffodil Smart City.
