On behalf of the DIU ICE (Former ETE) Alumni Association, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined our Meetup & Iftar Mahfil.

After the newly elected committee took responsibility, we had a very short time for preparation. During this period, the national election and many other challenges were happening around us. Despite the limited time and circumstances, we tried our best to arrange the program, and your presence made it truly meaningful.

A special thanks to our respected senior alumni, many of whom are the leading figures in the tech industry of Bangladesh, for taking the time to be with us and for continuously inspiring the community. Your guidance means a lot to the younger generation.

We are also deeply grateful to the young and energetic alumni who traveled long distances, even from outside Dhaka, just to attend the Iftar. Your effort, enthusiasm, and love for the department truly touched us.

This gathering was just the beginning. 

Next month, we are planning something big and special for our proud alumni — an Alumni Homecoming Event.

We warmly expect all alumni to join us and support us wholeheartedly so that together we can make it the most successful and historic event in the history of our beloved University.

The Department of Information & Communication Engineering, Daffodil International University, successfully organized an academic seminar titled:

“Cross-Domain Learning for 3D Object Classification”

🎙️ The session was conducted by Dr. A.A.M. Muzahid, Lecturer at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, China. His expertise in AI, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and 3D Object Recognition enriched the seminar with valuable insights.

📌 Key Discussion Highlights:

- Generative AI vs. Recognition AI: how AI is evolving from recognition to creation.

- Explainable AI (XAI): addressing the Black Box Problem and building trust through transparency.

- Accuracy, Bias & Responsibility: challenges of training data, fairness, and accountability.

- XAI Techniques in Computer Vision: Grad-CAM for visual explanations, SHAP for feature attribution.

- Federated Learning: privacy-preserving approaches to train global models without centralizing sensitive data.

- Research Guidelines & Future Directions: towards self-explaining AI that communicates its reasoning in human language.

📸 The seminar was highly interactive, with enthusiastic participation from ICE students. Gifts were awarded based on the Q&A session, making the event lively and engaging.
