Library Day-2023

Library Day is a celebration dedicated to the importance of libraries and the services they provide to communities. It serves as a reminder of the value of knowledge, literacy, and learning. The library organization organizes various activities, such as book exhibitions, author talks, storytelling sessions, and workshops, to engage readers of all ages. The aim is to encourage people to explore new subjects, embrace lifelong learning, and cherish the treasures found within the walls of libraries, fostering a literate and enlightened society. Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq (Professor), Department of Information Science and Library Management, Dhaka University, was our keynote speaker at the program.

ITM Students Gain Industry Insights During Visit to Brain Station 23

The Department of Information Technology & Management (ITM), DIU, recently organized an industry visit to Brain Station 23, a leading software development company. This visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the modern software industry.

The informative sessions covered a wide array of critical topics, including current industry trends, the evolving job market, and strategies for adapting to an AI-driven workplace. Furthermore, students gained practical knowledge regarding backend development fundamentals, standard software development practices, mobile application development, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the growing impact of AI in product development.

Industry visits like these are instrumental in helping ITM students connect academic knowledge with real-world practices. They allow our students to better understand industry expectations and thoroughly prepare themselves for future careers in technology and management.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the team at Brain Station 23 for their warm hospitality and for generously sharing their valuable knowledge and experiences with our students.

Build With AI Hack Days @ DIU: Powered by Google for Developers

The Department of Information Technology & Management, DIU, successfully organized the "Build With AI Hack Days @ DIU" workshop in collaboration with Machine Learning Bangladesh.

Powered by Google for Developers, Gemini, .xyz, and MLH, this event allowed participants to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, including the Gemini API, Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Google AI Studio. The session provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore the future of AI-driven innovation and its practical, real-world applications.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants, mentors, organizers, and collaborators for making this workshop such an insightful and impactful experience.
