Students from the
Department of Information Technology & Management, DIU, successfully conducted an industry visit to
Chaldal Ltd. as part of the course 𝐈𝐓𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟔: 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐓. The visit took place at Chaldal’s 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 in Banani, Dhaka, offering students a real-world perspective on how technology and innovation are driving the evolution of Bangladesh’s online grocery ecosystem.
During the session, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐙𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐟, Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Chaldal, delivered an inspiring talk on the company’s journey of entrepreneurship, innovation, and teamwork. Senior leaders and directors from key departments, including Operations, Training, Corporate Relations, IT, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Monitoring, shared their insights and demonstrated how cross-functional collaboration sustains Chaldal’s operational excellence.
Under the guidance of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐮𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧, Head, Department of ITM, and coordination of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐧, Lecturer, ITM, the team engaged in constructive discussions on:

The visit concluded with a tour of Chaldal’s warehouse facilities, where students observed the seamless process of order management and last-mile delivery through technological integration.
