Congratulations to Bushra Tara Noor, student of the Department of Information Technology & Management (ITM), DIU, on successfully completing her semester exchange program at Eikei University of Hiroshima, Japan 🇯🇵

During her study in Japan, she gained valuable academic exposure through courses in Data Analysis, ICT, Economics, Design Systems, and Project Management, while also experiencing Japan’s unique project-based learning culture.

Beyond academics, she embraced cultural exchange, built international friendships, and explored the rich history and traditions of Hiroshima. This life-changing journey strengthened her independence, adaptability, and global outlook.

Moin Ahmed Nahin, student of the Department of Information Technology & Management (ITM), DIU, is currently participating in the fully-funded Erasmus+ ICM Semester Exchange Scholarship at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria.

Through this international mobility program, he is completing academic credits in his respective program while actively engaging in academic, cultural, and international networking activities. This global learning experience reflects ITM’s commitment to developing internationally competent graduates and strengthening DIU’s global presence.

His participation in the Erasmus+ exchange program provides valuable opportunities to experience European academic culture and cultural diversity, contributing to both academic and personal growth.

Md. Shamim Shahnewaz, Project Manager, Software Development at SEPBO Bangladesh, conducted a special expert session titled “Smart Attendance, Smarter Future: Migrating from Legacy Systems to AI-Driven Solutions”, organized by the Department of Information Technology & Management, DIU.

The session provided valuable insights into modern attendance management systems, highlighting the transition from traditional legacy approaches to AI-driven smart solutions. Students learned about real-world industry practices, system efficiency, and how intelligent automation is transforming institutional operations.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Zouhair Elamrani Abou Elassad has been appointed as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Information Technology & Management at Daffodil International University. 🏆✨

With a distinguished background in computer science and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Transportation Systems, Dr. Elamrani brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. 🚀 His outstanding contributions as a university professor at the National School of Applied Sciences, Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco, are a testament to his dedication to the field.

As a project manager overseeing various IT projects, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence applications, Dr. Elamrani has not only pioneered independent research projects but has also fostered strong collaborations with both public and industry sectors. 🌐 His research interests span a wide spectrum, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Intelligent Environments, IoT, and Data Science.

Three days long "Virtual Postgraduate Research Summit 2022" successfully ended on 1st March 2022 with the vibrant involvement of nearly 70 fellow enthusiastic researchers and participants from 16 countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South, and North America. Dr. Tay Huay Ling, Associate Professor, Singapore University of Social Science, Singapore, Prof. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, PhD, Dean, Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, DIU and Prof. Dr. Md Kabirul Islam, Director of Research Division, DIU joined the Closing Ceremony to share their valuable remarks on research collaboration & best practices.

Before the Closing Ceremony, the most expected session of the summit was held, entitled ‘Research Method: Quantitative Research’ conducted by Professor T. Ramayah, Professor, School of Management, USM, Malaysia where he shared a depth concept and strategies of the outcome based quality research. Having the motto "Towards a Garden of Researchers’, The Department of Information Technology and Management at Daffodil International University (DIU) in Bangladesh and the Graduate School of Business at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Malaysia are jointly hosting this summit with the support of @International Affairs, DIU.
