A celebration of teamwork, competition, and sportsmanship brings nine batches together on the football field.

The Department of Information Technology & Management (ITM) at Daffodil International University successfully concluded the ITM Football Tournament 2026, one of the department’s biggest single sporting events, bringing together nine batches for an exciting celebration of football, teamwork, and inter-batch rivalry.

Held at the DIU Turf, the tournament created an energetic atmosphere where students came together to represent their respective batches, demonstrate their footballing abilities, and compete for the coveted championship trophy. Beyond the competition itself, the event provided an opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, build team spirit, and create memorable experiences beyond the classroom.

Nine Batches, One Trophy

With nine batches participating, the tournament brought a wide range of student teams into a shared competitive arena. Each team entered the competition with its own ambitions, determination, and desire to secure the title.

The tournament reflected the enthusiasm of ITM students for extracurricular activities and demonstrated how sports can bring together students from different academic batches through a shared passion. The matches generated excitement among participants and supporters alike, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of campus life.

More than a contest for the trophy, the tournament offered students an opportunity to develop teamwork, discipline, resilience, and mutual respect. These qualities extend beyond the football field and remain valuable throughout academic and professional life.

An Exciting Final Showdown

The tournament reached its climax with a final between ITM 8th Batch and ITM 14th Batch, two teams that competed for the ultimate prize.

The final marked the culmination of the tournament and brought the participating teams’ championship ambitions into focus. With the trophy at stake, the occasion represented not only the pursuit of victory but also the collective effort, preparation, and commitment that define competitive sport.

At the conclusion of the tournament, ITM 14th Batch emerged as the champions, while ITM 8th Batch secured the runner-up position. The result marked another championship triumph for ITM 14th Batch, who won the tournament for the second time.

Beyond the Game: Building a Stronger ITM Community

The significance of the ITM Football Tournament 2026 extended beyond the final result. By bringing students together through sport, the event reinforced the importance of participation, collaboration, and healthy competition within the university community.

Football creates an environment where individuals learn to trust their teammates, work towards common goals, respond to challenges, and respect their opponents. These experiences complement academic learning and contribute to the development of well-rounded graduates.

Events such as this also help strengthen connections among different batches, encourage student engagement, and enrich the overall university experience. The enthusiasm surrounding the tournament reflected the important place that sports and extracurricular activities hold within the ITM community.
