The Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) at Daffodil International University proudly celebrates the University's major milestone of 1000 Scopus/ISI-indexed research publications and book chapters in 2022. To acknowledge the efforts and contributions of our faculty members, students, and alumni, we were thrilled to attend the "Research Award Giving Ceremony 2023" organized by the DIU Research Division on May 13, 2023, at the International Conference Hall of the University, Daffodil Smart City, Dhaka.

We were honored to have the presence of the Honorable Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, as the chief guest at the event. He urged the professors and researchers to work and publish in areas that can contribute to making Bangladesh a Smart Nation and lead it to be a developed nation by 2041.

Alhamdulillah! Our Ramadan event was a resounding success! On 10th April 2023, the Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology organized a memorable Ramadan event filled with spirituality. The event was attended by enthusiastic participants from our esteemed department and beyond, coming together to observe the blessed month of Ramadan. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable evening of celebration and togetherness. And special thanks to Al-Ashyea (Food Company and the 27 batch for supporting this event tirelessly.

Tanvir M. N. Islam, a Bangladeshi artist residing in Canada, holds the position of Art Director at Keywords Studios, a company that offers services to the video game industry. Tanvir worked in Sony's most recent game, "God of War Ragnarok," as the Art Director for RedHot CG, a division of Keywords Studios. He has also contributed to the "Call of Duty" series, "Diablo II: Resurrected," and "Sniper Elite 5" in the past. After earning his Master of Fine Arts, Tanvir continued his education to become a self-taught 3D generalist.

Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) Department of Daffodil International University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 9future unicorns of Bangladeshi companies under Bangladesh Association of Software Information Services (BASIS) aiming to bring together innovative entrepreneurs to connect and interact with industry leaders impacting the Metaverse, Gaming, and NFT Space and bring together some of the brightest minds, game changers, and business professionals from all around the world.

Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology (FSIT) and Dr. Mohammad Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar (In-Carge) were present in the MoU signing ceremony as the chief guest and special guest respectively. Dr. Shaikh Muhammad Allayear, Head, Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) of Daffodil International University and all concerned Head and CEO’s of the respective organizations signed the MoU today on September 04, 2022 at International Conference Hall of the university at Daffodil Smart City.  The MoU signing companies with MCT Department Dreamerz Lab, Softalogy Limited, Bangladesh IT Institute, Singularity Limited, Dhrubok InfotechServices Ltd., Debug Bd Ltd.), Angular Esports Limited, Bangla Puzzle Limited and Riseup Labs.
